The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 Meanwhile, at the sexy Authority: Roman has accepted 's and 's deal: they'll go hunt down Russell if he doesn't give them the Death right then and there. The Chancellors are mostly furious at the decision (especially the annoying little boy who goes on and on about not negotiating with hostages. I hate that kid). But it's a done deal. and are both outfitted with this device that will kill them if they try any funny business (it's called the iStake. Good work, Apple) and later both have sex with Salome.

Seriously, both are seduced by Chancellor Salome, who we learn in the Salome from the Bible (really). So weird and random. Roman later also has sex with Salome. So there's The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 that. And there's a lot of chatting about how Roman loves him some vampire mainstreaming but some people don't and there's a war a'brewing. It's all very tedious. On the other hand, we learn that the Authority recruited Newlin to be on their side because he has influence over the religious right and can help them counteract the blow to mainstreaming if Russell decides to take over the airwaves again.

Because Newlin is trustworthy like that he writers are really working overtime this to show us what vampires are capable of, and to what degree differs from them in deed and action. Was this a direction in which they always planned to head? Or are they cashing in all their cable chips — this is The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 particularly gory — to ensure that no one ever again compares their vampires to Twilight or The Vampire Diaries? Whatever the reason, this bares little resemblance to the previous two. Better, faster, stronger, I say. The contrast between Lorena’s fixation with and genuine affection for him is, for me, one of the strongest arcs of the series to date. Lorena is charged with the task of killing on Russell’s orders. She produces an arsenal of weapons that would make Dexter envious, and makes us wonder, if we ever did, just how vile she really is. There were at least three opportunities to flash back to Lorena’s past. Hopefully, we’ll get to see her before and at the time she was made. remains the voice of reason even as she carves him to shreds. She accuses him of never embracing their nature, and we can’t help but think that she doesn’t mean all the nature of all vampires, The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 but theirs as a couple. says he wishes to be dead so he can truly be free of his disease. When Debbie and Coot come in and feed off a weakened , Lorena looks on in partial horror, perhaps glimpsing the hell she used to visit upon her victims when was a more agreeable progeny. In his death, she will be aloneI really liked this . A lot. For once, I didn’t mind her going after . Her actions felt almost has if they’d been written for a police procedural: she confronts her captor; her one confidante, , turns on her; busts her out of her room; she’s put in imminent danger to be with as he (maybe) dies. All because she couldn’t leave her partner behind. Her love for is apparent, her reconciliation with him The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 worthy of a clic goodbye. But will it be hers as well? As the ends, Lorena takes a big ol’ chunk out of neck.

Russell, as always, is in fine form. His Q & A session with was a favourite scene. It felt a bit like a late night chat between a father and his precocious, young daughter. learns that has been keeping a file on her family and that there’s a Queen vampire. In turn, Russell learns that is a telepath, but doesn’t know where her zappy powers come from.

finally takes charge. But be careful for what you wish, cause that was some sort of icky. Tearing into Franklin’s neck like dog with a bone. Then pulverizing his head with a The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 medieval mace. (For those who haven’t seen the show, the former was for Franklin’s pleasure.) If Franklin was human, we’d know he was down for the count. So it should be fun to his face regenerate next week.

Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 8 Jesus. Hmm. Something’s going on here. I loved his chemistry with in the last , and wouldn’t have minded a little more seduction. But with half the done and over it’s no surprise that right away we’re sensing that he has more layers than a Seven Layer Bean Dip. He’s not just insightful; he seems to have a lot in common with , things that would draw an untrusting soul out of his shell, namely that he, too, doesn’t have a relationship with his father. We also learn his mother was raped, The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 something that’s bound to come up again. Jesus notices ’s shrine, pointing out the various Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 8 statues, again referencing his own experience. But just when we think that has found a dude he can feel safe around, the guys from the V deal gone bad from a few s back return to mess up. Jesus is quick on his feet, debaseball-batting them. But ’s anger gets the worst of him (can you really blame him?) and he unleashes on one of the men, a whole lot less funny than the "hamburger with Aids” Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 8 incident of one. During his outburst, Jesus learns that deals V juice, and asks to be taken home. utters "bitch” under his breath, and pays it forward his next shift when he takes it out on . Some of my favourite moments with are when we see the cracks in his veneer. It would be interesting to know if the writers plan to The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 delve deeper or if these moments are only meant to harken back to his tough upbringing.

Speaking of tough upbringings, I have to confess, Tommy rubbed me the wrong way at first. But I’ve come around to this storyline, a soap opera in itself. Melinda and Tommy fight in dog rings? Brilliant! Now Joe Lee’s frustration makes perfect sense. He doesn’t beat on Tommy; he needs him to fight so he can get paid. And Tommy, rough around the edges, is still that good boy at heart who sticks around to make sure his mother is taken care of, only he’s not cleaning rooms at a Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 8 motel, he’s turning into a pit bull and getting his withers kicked. You have to wonder why Tommy doesn’t join the show circuit taking Best in Show or Poodle Perm. But is there The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 any question that dog fighting is more in keeping with the down and dirty realm of ? Or as Strindberg said, "I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven’t got the guts to bite people themselves.” With Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 8 shifters, we get to see both worlds.
